Bounce Dryer Bar: Making my Life Just That Much Easier

I considered throwing out that Bounce Dryer Bar sample while trying to stuff all of my BlogHer swag into my little suitcase this summer. The whiff of dryer perfume is the only thing that saved it from a quick death in the trash can.

"What the heck," I thought, "even if I never use it, at least my clothes will smell good when I unpack."

Once I got home, it lingered on the coffee table for a couple of weeks before I finally lugged it upstairs to the laundry room. Then it lingered on top of the dryer for another few weeks before I finally peeled the sticky backing and attached it to the inside of the dryer. I was more motivated by the desire to clean up than any real hope that this product would be any good.

I expected it to leave big white streaks on my clothes, to come undone and clang loudly in the dryer. My expectations couldn't have been lower.

I certainly didn't expect it to make my life easier.

But that's just what the Bounce Dryer bar has done. It may be a very little thing, but in my ridiculously hectic life, every little thing helps. Not having to remember to stick a dryer sheet in with my wet laundry is a pleasure every time I do a new load. And not having to run back into the supermarket just as I get to the check out because I forgot to get a new box of dryer sheets is just heaven.

It's not rocket science (or it may be - who knows how they test these things), but it works. The bar has remained glued to my dryer wall. There are no stains on my clothes. They are soft. They smell good. And I have one less thing to add to my list of tasks every day.

And that makes me a happy woman.

Aren't they great? I recently tried them and posted my positive review on my blog as well!

Be careful if you put anything like tennis shoes in your dryer. I've read two reviews where that was done and the bar broke and disinegrated all over the clothes and the inside of the dryer. One lady said she used vinegar and a lot of elbow grease to get the baked on coating out of the dryer!

I put mine in my guest bathroom - unwrapped as an air freshener. I can't bring myself to use it because the smell is so strong.
